Merry Christmas
Before I offer the usual goodwill message, it's worth noting that David McLetchie has paid back £300 to the Parliament over his taxi fares. George Reid has described this as the 'end of the matter' which means that the former Tory Leader was hounded out of his job over what is a relatively minor sum in the grand scheme of things. This is a sobering lesson for all politicians, both current and aspiring.
Now that that's over with, it's time to wish my readers (yes, both of them) a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous 2006. This blog will resume when politics gets back into gear, although if anything interesting happens over the break (I have my eye on a few things), I will make note of them.
