Cameron: Day 2
Congratulations to David Mundell MP, who joins the Tory Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Scotland Secretary. Theoretically, Mundell had very little competition as he's their only MP in Scotland. However, his two predecessors were expats (James Gray and Eleanor Laing), and Cameron has plumped for a Welsh expat for the Wales post (despite there being three Welsh MPs to choose from).
Although Mundell is new to Westminster (he won Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale in May), it's worth remembering that he has six years worth of experience at Holyrood, so Cameron has made a wise choice, considering that the expats usually make a call for the Scottish Parliament to be abolished within a few days of their appointment.
