It's Cameron...

The headline says it all. I imagine that the bulk of the Tory MSPs will be rather relieved: they had all lined up behind Cameron, so had Davis won they'd all be in a tight spot.

I was tempted to write that they had made a good call, but that's not yet true. We shall only know that if they improve their position in 2007 and 2009, on the assumption that the next Westminster election will be then.

And if it isn't, my get-out clause is that 2009 is the year of the next European election.
