Another day, another awards dinner

The Witanagemot Club Political Blog Awards are out, congrats to Grant Thoms, the Tartan Hero, for stuffing the rest of the Scottish blogosphere so comprehensively. Have a look through the winners, though. Even Terry Kelly got something, even if it was the booby prize. This is suitable as he's a Grade-A tit.

For the record, I came second in the 'Best Holyrood Gossip' category (thanks, folks!), behind Grant. Davie Hutchison came third and if you haven't started reading his blog, you should.

Being second is actually quite cool, though. It means I can produce things like the following image for a laugh. Does it look familiar?

PS Don't worry, people, I'm not taking it that seriously, I just couldn't resist the opportunity for a spoof leaflet.

Congratulations on your famous victory, Tartan Hero must be trembling in his plaid.

*Laugh* That graph is a classic.

That graph looks like a Lib Dem one in Wales on campaing leaflets in most wards and constituency's (with them being a close second - only to end up a miserable fourth!)

That is perhaps one of the most amusing things I have seen.

Apart from Nicol Stephen's face on election night when his majority got slashed.

Ho ho ho

Toque... maybe the graph gets me extra comedy points for next year, if nothing else. ;)

Jeff... I'm going to use it again when I prepare a post entitled 'Campaign Leaflets in 5 minutes'.

Rhys... glad the graph looked familiar, and that it had the desired effect!

Mark... try as I might, I can't believe you about Nicol Stephen's face. I just didn't think he was capable of noteworthy facial expressions. *cackles*

It was less the expression, more the notable loss of colour.

yuk yuk yuk (as Minnie the Minx - RIP - would have said)

A pity I missed it...

You know, I almost entered the competition to win the Nicol Stephen cardboard cutout.

But only because I wanted the one that was most like the real thing!

Imagine if you won the cutout, and Nicol stopped appearing at FMQs...

That graph looks more than a little familiar...did you get Mike Crockart to do it for you?

Davie, I didn't get Mike Crockart to do it, but I was inspired by every LibDem performance, well, ever!

And Mark (welcome back from the hollybobs, btw), if Nicol stopped appearing, who would notice? Besides, if anyone ever did kidnap him, I suspect that after the most stultifyingly dull 30 minutes of the kidnappers' lives, they'd decide not to demand a ransom, and offer money to the LibDems to take him off their hands.
