South Ayrshire Council...part 2

Well, I foresaw the possibility of a Tory putsch and I was right: by holding an election for the new Council Leader now, Gibson MacDonald of the Conservatives now takes charge of South Ayrshire Council, thanks to the Tories having 15 seats compared with Labour's 14. The By-Election in North Carrick and Maybole East takes place on 2 February though, and if Labour win back the seat then the stalemate resumes, and things could get nasty, as the Provost has the casting vote. And Councillor Gordon McKenzie (for the Provost is he) is from the Labour Party.
